I did their engagement, followed by their pre-wedding before and i was delighted to be their official wedding photographer. Their nikah took place at Masjid al-Ghufron, attended by both sides relatives and friends.

Earlier, Farah told me their nikah will be held at 9am and me, being the not-so-morning person was so worried of being late that i couldn’t sleep well on the night before. Alhamdulillah, i managed to be there at 6.30am (or was it 7am??!) despite my 3hrs sleep and started to cover her make up session. On another note, Sofie, being the ever cool guy succeeded in his first attempt and i can saw his huge relief the moment saksi said SAHH  (i hope the videoman did capture Sofie’s ‘fuhhh-lega’ face) and i bet Farah too as she told me Sofie was sooo nervous the day before sampai kejap rasa demam kejap tak demam .. hehe they simply made a cute couple !

I’m actually owe them another 3 wedding entries .. Owh, also an entry for Izwan & Fina .. followed by Shiraz & Sarah Ye .. and i am soo penat!!

I’ve been bad, it actually took me more than a week to keep my promise. Life has been pretty hectic lately, with office works (which i can assure u are not affected at all eventho i had very minimal hours of sleep lately), design/editing works, house chores & mommy muntah² (yeah, probably tat’s my best way of telling my fellow readers that Mia nak dapat adik soon .. Insyallah) ..

Anyway, here are the pics taken during their wedding reception at The Marquee, Carcosa Seri Negara. Earlier, i was actually asked by Izwan to capture the real ambience of the place; its deem light, yellowish mood so throughout the event i kept it in my mind as to make sure my photos wouldn’t turn unnecessarily bright (read: terang benderang yang mmg tak kuning langsung). We are not talking about TTL/TTL-BL setting on your speed lights, AA or M would do justice for such tone (my Nikonian fellow would understand what i’m saying here). At the end, we had utilize Carcosa’s sort of distinguished decorations for our portraiture session. The couple was such a trooper, they managed to get on their feet up to 2am (i think) and yours truly too, despite having to attend an early morning meeting approximately 6hrs later.

How i wish i’ll have more opportunity to capture such a majestic event as this in the future.

I had covered their engagement and pre-wedding portraiture before and this time around, i was asked to shoot their nikah ceremony. The solemnisation took place at Fina’s home in Shah Alam with a well decorated pelamin and surroundings {rumah Fina sangat chanteek} her father is an ID, Fina is an architect and so does Izwan, period. It was a bit challenging task as the house was filled with crowd and i can barely moved especially during the akadnikah took place. But lucky me, two cameras do justice in covering such a splendid event. Overall, it was an enjoyful nite .. for the newlyweds, thanks for the trust.
